Email editor: New sections

For all Starting Point templates, we’ve rolled out the ability to add new sections to your Broadcasts and Sequences in your email editor. This will make it even easier and smoother for you to build out your email as you’re writing it. For any sections, you’ll be able to:

  • Add new sections: Any new added sections will retain the same design preferences as the section you’re adding from. This is super helpful if you have a block-style email design.
  • Duplicate sections: This will duplicate all the content within the section as well. This is super helpful if you want to reuse layouts you’ve already designed.
  • Reorder sections: Not sure where you want your content? The arrow buttons make it easy for you to reorder how the content is laid out in your email. No need to recreate or copy and paste it over.
  • Delete sections: Need to cut some content? Simple way to just delete a whole section. (Don’t worry! You can Command/CTRL+Z to undo and bring it back if you need to.)

As usual, we hope this makes building your email an even better experience. Go build out your next email broadcast!

Broadcasts: New publishing flow & reporting

Upgrades are coming to our email broadcasts! We have two major changes that'll make publishing newsletters easier and give you more insights into how your subscribers are interacting with your content.

  • Deliver your content how you want: For any new broadcasts, you'll have a new publishing flow that allows you to deliver your broadcast, by sending it as an email to your subscribers, publishing it to the web, or both.
  • Overview reporting: After your broadcasts has been sent or published, you'll now have a new overview of how your content is performing, including a preview of the content, total recipients, email analytics, and web analytics.
  • New analytics tab: You'll see the results of any A/B testing you've done, full email metrics with an engagement funnel, and web metrics.
  • New recipient tab: You'll be able to filter by subscribers who received the email, opened the email, clicked in the email, and unsubscribed from your list. You'll also be able to manage these segments with bulk actions.
  • New clicks tab: You'll see an overview of all the links you had in your broadcast and the engagement on each link.

Subscriber attribution for Recommendations

Dive deeper into the quality of subscribers you are gaining from Recommendations. In the new Subscribers tab, you'll be able to see the average open rate, average click rate, and the unsubscribe rate of the subscribers you've gained through Recommendations. With this new tab, you'll be able to:

  • Assess the quality of these subscribers by comparing them to the subscribers of your other growth channels
  • See specifically which subscribers were recommended by which creator
  • Do bulk actions like add or remove a tag, add or remove from sequences, export, and delete to better manage your subscribers.

Creator Profile: Limit posts to subscribers

Your Creator Profile just keeps getting more powerful. You can now choose to limit email broadcasts you publish as newsletter posts to subscribers only. This is perfect for creators who want to give new readers a sneak peek of their content, but require subscription for full access. For any readers who are already a subscriber, they'll be able to login to start reading.

To set this up, go to Grow > Creator Profile, and select "Posts". You'll see the option to choose the visibility settings of your posts.

  • Patreon Integration: We fixed an issue with the Patreon integration to make sure all subscriber information was passing over to ConvertKit no matter what the subscriber state is.
  • Stripe Integration: We quickly fixed a subscription reporting issue where cancelled subscriptions were showing up as active to make sure you always have a good understanding of how your product is performing.
  • Upsells receipts: You can now resend receipts for Upsell products, as well as for standard products and subscriptions.
  • Paid Recommendations: Once you set up your Paid Recommendations, we'll create a paid slot for you in your recommendations modal to make the setup experience better and save you extra steps.
